ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEM

Android Operating system is the most widely used mobile Operating System. It is based on Linux kernel which is currently developed by google.

   Android Inc. was founded by andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Shears and Chris White. It was established in October 2003 A.D. When the company was at early stage it's objective was to make the digital cameras more smarter. But the market of digital cameras were very minimum, so they changed their mind and were attracted  towards mobile.
 

Back in 2005 A.D. Google bought the company and kept their key members along with them. After this step, Google has taken it's way towards the Mobile Operating System. Android is designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers, with specialized user interfaces for televisions (Android TV), cars (Android Auto), and wrist watches (Android Wear).

As of 2011 android has the largest number of install in mobile devices and as of July 2013 Android play Store has over 1 million applications and over 50 Billion downloads.
