Influence of IT on evolving era….

Nowadays, when people think of the term “IT”(i.e. Information Technolgy ), they usually think about computers, smartphones, softwares etc. but it is not limited within those terms only. Thus, information technology is huge globe which includes almost everything like hardwares,
softwares or may be about information management system or may be about information  distribution technologies like computer, tv etc. In this competitive era information as
well as technology both  plays a very vital role in enhancing the organizational goal of certain enterprise or organization. Information technology too deals about information as well as technology, hence it has a great influence in this era.
Information were stored, managed, manipulated, and passed from generation to generations. We still have historical information about Einstien, Archimidies etc.  If we wouldn’t have got information about their inventions then there wouldn’t have been progress in science. If we wouldn’t have stored the inventions of Charless Babbage, Ada augusta, etc in the form of the information then there wouldn’t have been evolution in the era of the computer. Thus information play very vital role for the development. Due to the presence of past information management and modification on those information the world of technology is moving ahead. If there were no information then there wouldn’t have been such progress in this world. The information which is not useful today can do a miracle in future. So, each and every types of information must be stored.

On the other hand technologies are used to manipulate, store, create, modify and enhance the information. Various types of technologies such as data mining, data marts, DBMS etc. are used for the management of the information.

With the evolving era different types of techniques are being invented to store information. Previously people used punched tapes, magnetic drum, cathode ray tube, etc. to store information but with the evolving era those technologies also changed. People wanted more space as with time the volume of the information also increased. So, people used device such as hard disk, pendrive to store information which also seems insufficient for storing information. The most popular site i.e. facebook stores petabytes of data. It’s not only about storing information but the stored information should be managed too. Storing information just doesn’t means wasting petabytes of memory storing unwanted things. Those unwanted things must be modified and managed in a useful manner so that it cannot only be used for today’s organizational goal but also be profitable for tomorrow.

In today’s evolving era, information plays a very vital and critical role for achieving the organizational goal. If the information related to certain company is leaked out then, that enterprise have to bear a lot. Therefore information plays a very critical role. We all are surrounded by information from TV, radio, internet etc. from all technological resources we obtain various types of information. Viewing all those information we take decision related to life or organization. Thus information technology hugely influences our lives. In every part of our life we can see the use of information technology. Either in school or in institute or in big industries or in hospitals or in banks in every field we can see the use of information technology. Different types of companies compete with each other due to different types of information and different types of technologies they use. If both the ‘Apple company’ and ‘Samsung company’ used same technology then there is no difference between two of them. In fact, the systems and softwares used by different types of banks such as MIS, MICR, ATM etc are also the gift of information technology. If there wasn’t information storing technology then the transactions of the bank couldn’t be performed in an efficient manner. Therefore the whole banking system is based on technologies gifted by IT. Without information technology the whole information system gets corrupted and those corrupted information are not of any use. Not only in banking sector there are many places where IT has influenced a lot. Nowadays it is hard for us to move anywhere without cellphones or laptops or tablets. From this only it is clear that how much IT has influenced our lives. Not only our lives, this whole era has been influenced by information technology.

Besides this IT fields have negative impact on our daily life too. Peoples are wasting their useful time on internet and computers. The statement “Computers and internet were made to save time.” is being funny nowadays. If we use properly the things that are gifted by today’s science and technology then sooner or later we move towards prosperity. But if it is used in wrong way then it only brings destruction.
